We encourage artists and designers of all disciplines to apply, but ask that you have experience leading workshops with young people. We can’t wait to see what you come up with!
Brief:
Your project proposal should be rooted in how young people relate to the local area and public realm. This can be taken in any direction that suits your practice.
The workshops should introduce young people to a range of creative skills and practices that contribute to a collaborative artwork (2D or 3D) or design by the end of the week. This final piece should draw on the participants’ experience of Peckham and / or living in London.
Timings:
- 3 full days of teaching spread over 4 days:
- Monday: 10:30am – 4:30pm
- Tuesday: 10:30am – 1pm
- Thursday: 10:30am – 1pm
- Friday: 10:30am – 4:30pm
Fees:
- £1,500
- Rate is £150 per half day, so this is equivalent to:
- Half days (planning) x 4
- Full days (teaching) x 2
- Half days (teaching) x 2
Materials budget:
- TBC. Please base your proposal on the theorised amount of £500
Applicant requirements:
- Experience leading workshops and working with young people
- Experience of Peckham and the local area
- Age 21+
